Event description: Sat., April 3 10 am-1 pm, FREE, all ages Hikes are one hour and leave from Visitors’ Center at 10 am and noon Celebrate the changing of the seasons at McKinney Roughs! Come to the park for a fun family hike with a naturalist who guides you along one of our many beautiful trails. We’ll bring together a unique blend of natural history to tell the story of how land and water stewardship are critical to thehealth and vitality of the Colorado River. After your hike, experience McKinney Roughs’ interactive exhibits, enjoy a nature craft, or borrow a trail pack to take the kids outside for a self-guided nature scavenger hunts. Bring a picnic lunch and make it a family nature day! Pre-registration is recommended for hikes. Hikes are limited to the first 20 participants and are designed to include families with children of all ages. Clubs or groups should schedule a private hike. |
